SHARES ( Skelmersdale Headteachers Association, Raising Educational Standards ) is an alliance of schools that has gained a national reputation around innovative practices here in the North West. SHARES is committed to improving outcomes for children and families in the town and is passionate about making a difference. We are an alliance of good and outstanding schools as judged by OfSTED and as a result are best placed to take a lead in training our next generation of teachers. We are also a Teaching School alliance where we have been recognised for our excellent ITT work as well as our record of alliance led, continuing professional development (CPD) weeks.

We firmly believe that teacher trainees who are immersed in a school environment all year are better prepared and more employable than others and as a result have devised our own accredited SCITT programme. At the end of an intense year you will be awarded Qualified Teacher Status and will be highly employable.

The course addresses the ever increasing demands on 21st century primary class teachers. There will be a raft of high quality training from experienced and expert current practitioners, educational consultants, advisers and national and local leaders in their field.
