During these unprecedented times, we have developed learning packages bespoke to each child in each specialised classroom. Many of our students have found themselves being schooled at home with resources tailor made for them by their class teacher. Activities and work set has been selected and differentiated appropriately so the child can access at home with minimal support.
The use of websites such as Purple Mash, Times Table Rock stars, Oxford Owl, Spelling frame, My maths, STEM and many others have been used to great effect to encourage the continuation of learning when pupils have been unable to access school.
Many pupils in the Specialist classes have received hand-made work packs and resources posted and delivered to their addresses to maintain learning and enjoyment but also to maintain structure and purpose to their daily routines.
Home learning topic webs and cooking activities have also been developed and delivered to parents and carers to give them options and interests to work on together with their children.
Regular contact via e-mail, phone and the school communication apps have ensured that contact and continuity has been maintained between home and school.
