At Elm Tree Primary School, we believe in ‘Pupil Voice’. Our pupils are consulted on matters which affect them and to have their voice heard in our learning community. Representatives are chosen from across our school making sure all classes have at least one member on our School Council. Our School Council is active in representing the views of every child, thinking about ways to make Elm Tree a better place to learn.
Our Student Council Members
All classes are being represented by a Student Council member, the children are going to be meeting each week on a Friday to discuss a variety of issues and have their say.
Children will be given an agenda with set items to discuss each Friday morning, these will have been set by members of the SMT.
We will provide copies of the minutes for each half term as downloadable PDF documents following each meeting that takes place, meetings are being chaired by our Sports & Activities Co-ordinator - Mr C Owens, please feel free to contact school if you have any questions or queries with regards to our council.
Our Pupil Parliament Members
As a School we are also part of the wider community Pupil Parliament. This has representatives from all the schools in the local area of Skelmersdale.
We currently have two members representing our school at the Pupil Parliament meetings, schools are also given the chance to participate in a wide range community issues at half-termly meetings.
