Art Week

Last week we participated in Access All Arts Week, a whole school celebration of the arts. The theme of this year's Arts Week was Identity and children were encouraged to explore their own individuality and what makes each one of us unique. Across the school a variety of art forms were explored such as drawing, sculpting, dance, dance and poetry. The children also took part in dance sessions with our local dance teacher and a caricature drawing workshop in which they created their own characters using food as a starting point. The children produced some amazing art and engaged so well with all of the activities, culminating in a showcase in the hall where they presented their work to the rest of the school. Well done to all of the children for some incredible work.
